Baggage Claim

Today July 2, 2008 1:30 PM Pacific time I am at Seattle Tacoma Airport waiting to board Dallas flight. Waiting is the last thing I like. But this waiting in SEA helps me to keep my 390G busy.

Baggage Claim, I am writing this post after my eyes clicked the airport direction board @ SEA airport. many, would have seen this word @ Airport direction board.

This takes me back to my sweet old memories which happened like three years back at Pittsburgh airport. I flew from Chicago-> Pittsburgh. that day I didn't check in any baggage. The journey was cool though no teenage gal was next to me everything was perfect and the flight was on time. but after I got out of airplane at Pittsburgh airport. I struggled like anything to find Airport EXIT door. Finally the person who was cleaning the floor gave me the direction which the direction board doesn't.

MAN, that was the moment I laughed at myself, was like what the heck!!! I could able to come all the way from Peoria to Pittsburgh but I don't know how to go out of Pittsburgh airport.

FUNNY! But True. I struggled like 15 to 20 mins. to find my way out. You ppl can think what an Idiot I am; I should have seen the direction board to find my way. I did see direction board but I didn't see enough information that I needed. Yes, the information I saw in the board was

Terminal A, B, C etc
Restrooms
Baggage Claim
Gate 17 to 18 etc

But I didn't see a word EXIT on the board. if I had my baggage checked in I would have just followed the baggage claim and wouldn't have faced any problem to exit the airport. But I had only cabin luggage which lead me to have interesting experience :). Even though it is interesting, I never shared this to anyone, till date. For some reason I felt this as a most Embarrassing moment of my life. The reason I am telling this now is becoz one of my close friend also faced the same problem at Minneapolis airport last month. Now I feel like I am not the only stupid in this world. hahaaaaaaaaaaaaaa :~)

Information is wealth. This information is from Experience. But why I am telling this experience from SEA airport.
Simple! I didn't find the word EXIT on the SEA airport direction board also.
So when you want to go out of airport for a change don't look for EXIT in the direction board. Just follow the Baggage Claim you will find the EXIT door near the Baggage Claim conveyor.
